Terms of Service

FitCircuit is a marketplace and discovery platform that connects customers with independent fitness coaches, trainers, and specialists ("coaches"). Coaches are not FitCircuit employees, agents, or contractors. FitCircuit does not provide coaching, training, nutrition, or medical advice itself, and is not a party to the coaching relationship between a customer and a coach.

Coaches are independently responsible for the accuracy of their profile, the qualifications they claim, the advice or programming they provide, and their own compliance with any professional, insurance, or safeguarding obligations that apply to their work.

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

These terms describe the Site as it actually works right now, not a future roadmap:

• Digital programmes (PDFs) are purchased and paid for through Stripe Checkout at the point of sale. Payment is taken in full at checkout and the file is available to download immediately once payment is confirmed.
• Session bookings (1:1 or in-person coaching) are paid for through Stripe Checkout at the point of booking, in the same way as digital programmes. Payment is taken in full when you book, not held in escrow, and there is currently no automatic free-cancellation window — if you need to cancel or reschedule, contact the coach directly or reach out to us.
• Coach "Verified" badges reflect information a coach has submitted and, once our verification process is complete, checks we've been able to carry out on it. A badge is not a guarantee of a coach's competence, conduct, or the outcome of any session — see Section 4 for exactly what each badge does and doesn't mean.

We'll update this section as functionality changes — for example, once session payments are processed directly through the Site.

FitCircuit is a marketplace, not an employer of coaches, and does not guarantee the accuracy, safety, or effectiveness of any programme or session. Badges shown on a coach's profile indicate that FitCircuit reviewed specific documents or data at a point in time. They are not an ongoing guarantee, and each one covers exactly what its description says and nothing more:

• Identity Verified — a government-issued ID was provided and appeared to match the profile.
• Qualification Verified — a certificate or qualification document the coach provided was reviewed. We do not independently confirm authenticity with the issuing body.
• Insurance Verified — a liability insurance document was reviewed, showing cover to the date stated. This isn't a guarantee of current or continuous coverage.
• DBS Certificate Provided — a background-check certificate the coach already holds was reviewed. FitCircuit is not registered with the DBS and cannot run or verify a live check itself.
• Competition Experience — evidence of competing at an amateur or professional level was reviewed.
• Highly Rated and Years Coaching are not reviewed by FitCircuit: the former is calculated automatically from review data, the latter is reported by the coach and shown as self-declared.

Digital programmes (PDFs, plans, and guides) are educational content created by an independent coach, not personalised medical, health, or fitness advice, and have not been reviewed by a physician. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any new exercise or nutrition programme, particularly if you have an existing injury, medical condition, or are pregnant. Use is at your own risk.

Creating a coach account and listing a profile is free. FitCircuit takes a commission of 15% on completed digital programme sales, reduced to 10% for life for the first 100 coaches who join the platform. There is currently no listing fee. We may introduce a small anti-spam listing fee in future; it will never apply retroactively to coaches already listed.

Digital programme payments are processed by Stripe. At present FitCircuit collects payment directly (not the coach), and coach payouts are handled manually rather than automatically — see our Refund Policy for how refunds work.

You won't use the Site to post false, infringing, or harmful content, impersonate someone else, or misuse another user's personal data. Coaches are responsible for having the rights to any content (photos, videos, PDFs) they upload.

The Site is provided "as is". We're a small, early-stage service and don't guarantee the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, FitCircuit isn't liable for the acts, omissions, or advice of any coach, or for any injury, loss, or dispute arising from a coaching relationship formed through the Site. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that can't be excluded under English law (for example, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud).

We may update these terms as the Site develops. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
